Greetings Neighbors,
The Bayridge HOA will hold its 2024 Budget Adoption and Election of Directors meeting at 7:00PM on December 14, 2023. All homeowners are encouraged to volunteer for a role or position with the Bayridge HOA as there are many reasons to volunteer with the HOA such as:
• Protecting your investment
• Personal or professional development
• Expressing your creativity
• Fixing problems
• Socializing
• And even gaining recognition
Please consider applying your strengths and skills towards enhancing our association and neighborhood through volunteerism.
There are currently 3-9 positions open on the Board of Directors. Three (3) of these positions must be filled at the election. Please be aware that serving on the HOA Board is a serious commitment of your time and energy. Sometimes the time required will be 1-2 hours per week, and sometimes it can require 20 or more hours in a short period of time.
If you are interested in serving on the Bayridge HOA Board of Directors:
1. Please self-nominate by providing a short statement (200 words or less) about why you want to volunteer for the Board of Directors and what skills and/or experience you will bring to the Board.
2. Please mail or deliver your nomination statement along with your photo and Bayridge address to the Bayridge HOA by December 2, 2023.
3. The Communications Committee will compile all the nominations and introduce the nominees to the community by December 6, 2023.
Please update your current mailing address with the Bayridge HOA to ensure timely delivery of your election ballot.
The Bayridge HOA is also seeking three (3) election officer volunteers.
• The election officers will verify and count the secret ballots received by the HOA prior to and at the election meeting on December 14.
• Election officers cannot be current board members or currently nominated for board membership.
• Election officers will ensure adherence to the following requirement – Florida Statute 720.306(8)(b): Such ballots must be placed in an inner envelope with no identifying markings and mailed or delivered to the association in an outer envelope bearing identifying information reflecting the name of the member, the lot or parcel for which the vote is being cast, and the signature of the lot or parcel owner casting that ballot. If the eligibility of the member to vote is confirmed and no other ballot has been submitted for that lot or parcel, the inner envelope shall be removed from the outer envelope bearing the identification information, placed with the ballots which were personally cast, and opened when the ballots are counted. If more than one ballot is submitted for a lot or parcel, the ballots for that lot or parcel shall be disqualified. Any vote by ballot received after the closing of the balloting may not be considered.
• All of the ballot materials will be provided to the homeowners by the Bayridge HOA.
There are a couple of Florida Statutes that may impact our election procedures:
• Florida Statute 720.306(9)(a) – If there are three (3) or more Board of Director nominations by the December 2nd deadline, the HOA is not required to allow floor nominations at the December 14th meeting.
• Florida Statute 720.306(9)(a) – Elections are not required if there are less nominations than Board of Director vacancies (9 vacancies).
With these contingencies in mind, please submit your nominations prior to the December 2nd deadline to guarantee a place on the election ballot.

Dear Neighbors,
I am writing to inform you of our next Homeowners Association (HOA) meeting on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 7pm EDT. Please find the attached meeting minutes from our last meeting for your review.
Our agenda for the May 3rd, 2023 meeting includes:
1) Call to order
2) Roll call of members present
3) Approval of minutes from the previous meeting
4) Old business
a) Reminder on official communication channels for HOA matters
5) New business
a) Appointment of new ARB and Appeals Committee members
i) ARB – Melanie Molloy, Margaret Napper, and Shoaib Shafquat
ii) Appeals Committee – Kathy Dunn, Raul Pacheco, and Kim Veasey
b) Motion to reallocate funds to hire an accountant full-time
c) Motion to reallocate funds for capital improvements to the storm-water retention pond to address insect problem
d) Motion to reallocate funds to perform a professional reserve study of the Bayridge community
e) Vehicle speeding and possible solutions
f) Motion to reallocate funds to the Garden Club to beautify community entrance
6) Open forum for member comments and questions

**Please note that any necessary funding for the proposed motions will come from existing reserves or budget lines, there are no plans for a special assessment or to raise annual dues at this time.
